My education and certifications

I'm currently studying Computer Science at North Seattle College, and plan to graduate with my BS June 2025. I also have a certificate in Web Development from Seattle Central from 2021, and received my BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2016. I enjoy learning, and after taking my first coding class in 2015, have steadily explored different areas of technology, from developing simple games and interactive stories, designing and building websites, to creating software and programming using Computer Science theory. I'm excited to complete my education and build a career developing software while leveraging my experience with web applications and design.

  • Improving my skills and learning about new technologies
  • Accessible, responsive, mobile-first, user centered design
  • Applying what I'm learning in school to real software or websites I would want to use

My Story

While getting my art degree, I took a JavaScript course and fell in love with programming. Since then, I've explored various areas of technology, obtained a certificate in web development, and now I'm working towards my BS in Computer Science. I hope to work on software that connects to my arts background, but enjoy building all kinds of tech projects. Right now I'm working on an art supply collection tracker with types defined by users. I also enjoy mixing code and art to study interactive storytelling and game development.

As a junior in my program, I'm looking for an internship in Computer Science for Summer 2024, and am open to part time work that can accommodate my evening courses during the school year. In addition to coding, I enjoy producing diagrams and designs, planning out overambitious projects, and learning more about computer science, whether that's improving current skills or discovering new technologies. I spend my free time making art, petting cats, and playing games.
